Old Grainfather Conical fermenter seals

I have a conical fermenter from before the rebounding to GF30. I've been coming back to brewing after a child-induced hiatus, so ordered some new seals from the Malt Miller for the dual valve

But trying to install them, I can't get it back together again easily. It's like the seals are slightly fatter than they used to be? Have they become bigger or have I forgotten how to install them?

You need to lube them, you can get suitable lube from Amazon, search food grade lube, or coffee machine lube

Ah, I've got a spray to lube the ports on my kegs - I guess that would do?

If it says good for food contact on the bottle, you'll be ok.
Actually I use that grease on the keg posts.
