Couple of my buddies whilst we were in the pub a little while ago suggested that we should do a sprint triathlon in may this year. Clearly at the time it was a great idea but one I regretted the next day. And kind of hoped they'd forgotten about.

Well they remembered, and this morning was our first training session. One of them suggested the best way to start our training was to do the whole bloody race start to finish which I thought was just cruel.

Anyway. We did it!! 8 am start and a 400m swim, 24km bike ride followed by a 5km run.

Not huge distances but one straight after another is tough and it was COLD today too!!

So stoked now. Been really full of myself all day! Legs ache and I'm snoozing already but super stoked!!!!!

Thanks mate! I was a smoker for years too but a few years off you'd be amazed !!!

Well done - sometimes you just need get out your bed and do it. it also helps if you have some mates involved so you don't lose enthusiasm.

I am planning to do the West Highland Way with my 12yr old son during the easter hols. The long Saturday walks are what I am using to offset the homebrew.

 Well done.

I only do the running part and am training for a marathon in May. Can't imagine doing all of that back to back.
