I know that some of you in here are a bit switched on re Web stuff and IT kinda thingies..

Now I want to make it perfectly clear that Im not trying to promote anything on the forum , Im just asking a question because I trust the members on here a shedload more that when I ping the same question into google and get 10,000 affiliate marketers trying to get me to follow their commission based links.

I have a business related Facebook page and Im trying to expand the number of people that "Like" my page. If any of you good people have any idea how the heck I can do that beyond my immediate FB friends could you give me a nudge in the right direction.

It's really quite easy.

1. Total shameless self promotion! Ask people outright to "like" you.

2. Make sure you have not just product, but content on your page that people enjoy and want to share.

3. Shameless self promotion.

4. Milestone giveaways. Give stuff away to 500th like etc.

5. Shameless promotion of giveaways.

6. Always be positive, even when you are being negative.

7. Shameless self promotion.

Eventually you hit critical mass and it takes off. Check out my mate PaulOz on FB (he's a pop artist) for an example of how to do it properly.

Just a thought. When I said it was easy - the THEORY is easy! The level of effort to get to that critical mass is pretty significant.

Give's a look... PM if you're shy!

LOL! First test of the "shameless" part of self promotion I guess!

Just a thought does the forum have a Facebook page ?

Secondly If the mods are ok with it Ill shamelessly self promote with a shout out to members. Can I just double check that the Mods are ok with it?

I know I'm a noob around here, and to homebrew in general, but I would happily help out with the admin of a facebook page for the forum if it was needed. I am an admin for a few other pages, and have set two up myself.
