Heard on the news earlier that in India a chap is being investigated as he managed to get 8 covid vaccinations last year!

So that's what the other end of the spectrum looks like.

It's fine that one athlete goes to bat for another but it's still missing the point: it doesn't matter if Novak's a "great champion" or not, in this case.

My wife's job lately has peripherally included needing to know all flight rules for the US and Canada and they're very specific and the wiggle room is left to the border agency a traveler comes into contact with.

Apparently he had Covid in December and so couldn't be vaccinated. This is true as some period of time must elaps post covid before a vaccination will be effective.
The question remains; why wasn't he vaccinated before? Is not like they weren't available and even if Serbia isn't ahead of the game I doubt that a man such as him couldn't get it sorted if he tried.

If you already had covid your body has produced it's own antibody. Not sure how long this lasts for. The vaccine is to help your body build antibodies before getting covid so that it's better equipped to deal with the virus.
That's my understanding of it but it could be wrong. I am due a booster but got covid before Christmas. So I am not sure if I need a booster

Not really immune but you build up a tolerance to the virus the same as any virus.
if you have had covid they don’t recommend you go for a vaccine for a set period of time as you already have natural immunity but the same as with the vaccine no one is 100% sure how long the protection lasts for nor how good it is against the variants.

It’s not that the vaccine won’t be effective it’s the fact that you will already have antibodies to fight the virus and won’t get sick if you pick it up again. That’s why one of the conditions of entry to bars etc is if you can prove you recovered from covid in 90 days (there abouts)
he wasn’t vaccinated before because he didn’t want to be. Simple.

A good friend of mine who lives in Cheshire has an 8 year old daughter who caught COVID in early to mid November, it was confirmed by a PCR test, but the variant wasn’t disclosed.

The youngster has tested positive via LFT early this week. She’s just got her PCR test results back for the latest infection which is also positive.

The reporting of the results is exactly 8 weeks (56 days) apart.
