I started my 3rd ever brew yesterday at around 4-30pm, with my last 2 brews the yeast has started to work overnight but this current brew looks dead with no reaction what so ever.
Is it advisable to add more yeast and if so is there a time frame to do it in?
Sorry for these basic questions but I don't know anybody that does homebrew so have nobody to ask.

What temp do you have it at? What yeast and what beer is it?

Could be just slow at starting. I would wait another day, and if there's still nothing, pitch another yeast. You can gently swirl the fermenter too to rouse the yeast.

Its around 22dg and is a Milestone Lion Pride kit with Gervin yeast. My last 2 were St Peters Ruby and Milestone Black Gallion.

OK, so temp not likely a problem then. I would leave it another day, maybe give the fermenter a rouse by swirling and see if that makes any difference. Did you aerate the wort before pitching the yeast at all?

This thread is pretty good for troubleshooting:

You have put my mind at rest and I live give the wort a swirl and wait till tomorrow before I do anything else :D
It was well aerated before hand so I'll see how I get on.
