not in a happy place today

on Monday night we debated whether to take the cat to emergency vets or not,
made a decision that we would see how he was in the morning and take him then
he went out 10pm
never came back ...till 10pm Tuesday.
looked out of sorts, not jumping up to see me, just wobbling a bit.

took him to the vets on advice of our insurance companies 24hr help line

they put him on oxgen and were doing tests

left him there all alone last night
just waiting for a phone call or something

i am not a happy person today

Titch

PS: sorry for the ramble but i do feel slightly better not

Sorry to hear about your cat Titch. We used to have a couple of cats and its really stressful when they were ill and had to be left at the vets.

At least you have the pet insurance - thats a worry out of the way.

Sorry to hear about your cat, we have 3 cats and 2 dogs and I know how worrying it can be when one of them is unwell.

Fingers crossed the vet soon find out whats wrong with him and get him back to full health.

wife has spoken to the vet
he was stable overnight
but they have had to seek permission to sedate him to get an x-ray to have a look

fingers crossed

he is an old man after all we have had him 10 years and he was possibly 12 or 18mths when we got him

think ill get the wife to nag them while i work

Best of luck, I have been there. Hope he pulls through.

update, they have found nothing in the xray :thumb:
he is on pain killers and seems more settled

but they want to keep him in another night just in case

all i can say is god bless Tescos pet insurance

Hope he is soon on the mend.

Our dog is going in for a major op on his knee in a couple of weeks time, It's quite major surgery, and expensive. I wish I had that there Pet Insurance now.

hope all goes well, my wee dug meg the spaniel had a stroke in June and seemed to be on the road out, she couldnt stand up or even lift her head up to look at you if you went by,we left her a day then took her to the vets the next day and she had perked up a bit, the vet advised due to her age she could be prone to have other strokes but since then she's pretty much back to normal, she has a bit of trouble getting up the stairs as the strength in her back legs isnt as good but seeing her now you would'nt think she is 15 yr old and had a stroke, the wee barra gets up the stairs quicker than me! Hope your cat makes a full recovery. I'm just about to have a pint from the cornie, I'll toast it to your cat's good health  !

thanks for all your wishes they are appreciated

i hope all your pets stay safe and get well soon

it is strange without him seems something is missing

Well it is HIM...........
he is a cat who loves outside so not always in with you but he is around and you know he it.
Where he sits outside etc

hey the wife just called and he is still on fluids, but seems perkier

so will call them in the morning and see if we can go and get him

I hope your little friend is doing well, I'm not sure what I would do if my cat elmo was unwell we have had her about a year but she's already part of the family!

Keep us posted
