Northern lights may be visible tonight

According to THIS the northern lights may be visible tonight due to some unusually high solar activity...keep your eyes and cameras peeled! :)

Thanks for that, I will take a look from time to time but you can almost guarantee 100% cloud cover whenever anyone tells you about an eclipse / meteor shower / any other astronomical phenomenon. Currently only 50% cloud here.

I've seen the Northern Lights while on holiday on Orkney and they can be quite spectacular, but I've never seen them any further south.

Apparently they were a bit less good than expected last night and tonight should be better. The meteorology however conspires against us...
