Just brewed 1st kit (wherry). Appears to have all gone well-no stuck fermentation, no off-flavours etc. 3 weeks FV, now 3 weeks in pressure barrel. Saving it until Xmas but drew a cheeky pint tonight and it tastes lovely. BUT a bit 1-dimensional; like drinking a malt loaf. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted to have produced a nice, session able beer with no mishaps but I was wondering (suspect I know the answer) if there any way I can add something to it at this late stage. I'm a big Lia Fail fan so I love that big, fruity background- would just love to get a nice earthy or spicy hop flavour in front too. Is it possible to get a wee hop tea (or something) into the barrel or should I just get it gubbed and do different on the next one?
Cheers in advance.

Add a touch of patience :thumb:

I know it can be hard but time will improve the beer

My sherry was a cracking brew after 6-7 months, so give it a bit of time.

There is no reason my you couldn't dry hop it at this stage :)

I'd agree with all of the above comments. Wherry is a bit one dimensional and very malty when it is still young. However, it matures over a couple of months very nicely indeed. Bit more time conditioning is the order of the day.
