hi everyone, after much inspiration from my neighbours homebrews iv started my own.Its been going for 5 days now but for the first couple the temperature was only 19 so put in and immersion heater and got it up to 23.The hydrometer says its ready for bottling but it is quite cloudy still ,but with it being cold for the first couple of days im not convinced. Will it do any harm to leave it in the fermenter for a few days before bottling and secondry fermentation?

No harm at all, in fact it would be a good thing :thumb:

Kit instructions are over-optimistic, most forum members would probably suggest 10-14 days before bottling/kegging.

Welcome to the forum

Thanks guys, i thought it would be ok to leave just to be sure fermentation has stopped.

welcome to the forum. wait till the brew crystal clear befor bottling, if you dont there will be lots of sediment and your beer will taste very yeasty
