Evening all,

I've just bought myself an Immersion Pro but the instructions state it can only be cleaned / sanitised with none acid-based cleaners. Can anyone recommend a suitable, ideally none-rinse, sanitiser?

Much obliged in advance - Jim

No if you use bleach you need to rinse but it is a non acidic sanitiser. But whats an immersion pro and whats it made of to determine the best cleaner/sanitiser,

Is bleach really a no rinse sanitiser? Unscented or not. I thought the chlorine base residue had to be rinsed off or, like chlorine in water needs 24hrs to dissipate.

Er ... Yes and No.

"Yes" in so far as it comes high on the WHO list of chlorination products that can be used to kill the bacteria in water to make it potable so in small quantities it is "drinkable".

"No" in so far as even an unscented bleach (sodium hypochlorite) may leave a residual taste.

The Immersion Pro is a heater/cooler used in brewing as per ...

However, if I owned one, I would never need to "clean/sanitise" it because I would use one of these ... athumb..

Enjoy!
