just gunna add the carafa I to mash at sparge never used it before, got it in stock so putting it in to see what effects it has if any

never tried american amber so one for the beer library

I have my American amber on tap now. The Amarillo and Cascade go really well together.

I usually only add rice hulls when I'm using a lot of wheat, oats, or rye to avoid stuck mashes. The rice hulls are inert so they don't impact mash efficiency.

Good luck!

Brew day
Omitting the crystal 60
But apart from that all going to plan
Getting to strike temp at mo

Just getting wort to boil looking good
Sprinkled 100 gram of Carafa 1 on inch o wort above grain then sparged for 45 mins
No colour affect as such

+1 to rice hulls comment, no need if not using wheat as I understand.
I bought oat husks before my 1st wheat beer last year, finally chucked them away out of date this week as they were still unopened!

;)

left out the oat husks
and the crystal 60

This looks very interesting. I've used Amarillo and Citra in combination in my last 2 brews. Just bottled the first of those and I know it's too early to comment but I have very high hopes. Amarillo is amazing. Don't tell anyone or prices may rise. Damned free market economies. :drink:
