No sense of taste or smell !!

Pretty sure we got the damned thing before lockdown. Had all the symptoms including corrupted taste. (Got very poor sense of smell anyway) Only lasted a few days though - the worst symptom was the fatigue - that lasted a couple of weeks

I lost my sense of taste and smell a few years ago with flu. Literally ate a raw onion and chilli to freak out my girl-child!
Lasted about 3 weeks, but whilst covid is a type of flu, it is a different type and everyone is different.

im just getting over this corvid and ive loast my taste and smell too. 2 weeks in and no change. my pal had it earlier in the year and it was 6 weeks untill his taste and smell returned.

The only taste I lost and what alerted me was a bottle of spitfire The weekend before last, . It tasted roasty and smokey Until then I thought I just had a cold. Tested positive last Monday. Feel ok but
the one thing that is sticky is that I feel spaced out all the time! Hoping that will go with time!

I know what you mean. I’ve had this for 2 full weeks now mostly over it but as you say the fatigue is a killer. I also now have a cough that comes and goes and is only in my throat not my chest. Long covid is worse than the initial infection it seems.

My taste came back with a bang and I could pick out salt in everything. Even the butter on my toast. The day my smell came back I could not eat for 5 days after as everything was such a strong smell and taste it was turning my stomach even thinking about eating. Still a very heightened sense of taste and smell but I had a beer on Sunday night and I could taste the hops very clearly lol.
