Thought I'd start a topic of for anyone who's made a 'nice buy' recently. It could be a bargain, something you've wanted for a long time, or anything else really, it's what you think that counts :thumb:

Here's mine

I smashed my last dimple pint pot about a year ago and have hankered after a replacement ever since...now I can smash a few more and still not have to worry  :drink:

I may sell a few as even I don't need that many

Fantastic! I'm tempted by a box myself, mine are starting to look the worse for wear.

The best place to buy them second hand incidentally, is charity shops or car boot sales. Usually about 50p.

Just purchased a popcorn maker for a good price off ebay. :D

Gonna roast my own coffee beans. :thumb:

Popped corn makes a good adjunct for dry bitters ;)

Off topic but.
I love real coffee llannige (ever since the X SWMBO made me buy a Gaggia £160+ bout the only thing I got to keep  ), where will you get the fresh beans from? I got a popcorn maker somewhere too. Would be very interested to hear about your results.
P.S. Have you seen this before? http://www.taffwars.com/ The Ross Kemp and Star Wars stuff is hilarious.
 NP

Hi Nic,
Ordered some green beans from here.http://verdecoffee.com/index.php?main_page=index
(Sorry can't remember how to shorten link.)

Only ordered them the other day,and they have not arrived yet.Just ordered some cheap ones to start with,to see how I get on as I've never done it before. Will let you know the results.

Have never seen taffwars .But have saved it,am away for the weekend shortly and will have a look when I get back.

Thanks for the link. :thumb:

Hi Nic_P,

Update on my coffee roasting.

Verde coffee mislaid my order, but compensated by sending me an extra 500g of green beans. :thumb:

Anyway the popcorn maker did the bizzo and after 3 minutes produced freshly roasted beans with an amazing aroma. This hung in the air for hours later.I did this yesterday afternoon and the pleasant aroma was still in the air this morning in the utility room.

Ground and chucked the beans in the peculator earlier and the result made it all worthwhile. :D

My own freshly roasted and grounded coffee for me every day now,and the thing is its cheap and so easy to do with hardly any effort involved.
