I havent been on here for a while. I have not had the time to brew.
Here is my next ale I have planned I was looking at the red ales but wanted it to be on the extreme end of the hoppieness. :twisted: :twisted:
This is for a 8.5l brew as I have just got some 10L Mayonnaise buckets from work for use as fermenters and a 14L Pan/Boiler and have decided to make some experimental brews. :idea: :idea:
Fermentables
Ingredient Amount % MCU When
UK Caramalt 0.125 kg 9.8 % 1.6 In Mash/Steeped
UK Black Malt 0.045 kg 3.5 % 22.5 In Mash/Steeped
Light DME 1.100 kg 86.6 % 3.1 Start Of Boil
Hops
Variety Alpha Amount IBU Form When
US Chinook 13.4 % 20 g 65.2 Bagged Whole Hops 60 Min From End
US Chinook 13.4 % 10 g 16.2 Bagged Whole Hops 15 Min From End
US Chinook 13.4 % 10 g 6.5 Bagged Whole Hops 5 Min From End
US Chinook 13.4 % 10 g 1.4 Bagged Whole Hops 1 Min From End
Next is a Hoppy Imperial stout I may also do that next weekend.
