I have only recently started home brewing, my first IPA kit turned out ok and I'm waiting for my second batch (St Peter's IPA) to mature.

For my next batch I am thinking about making a stout. After watching reviews I am planning to try either the Coopers stout or Irish stout using spray made up to around 20 litres as it has been suggested this gives a slightly taste.

My questions is will this produce a decent result or is there anything else I should consider?

Thanks

Colin

Wish I read this earlier, just made the Coopers up to 23l. Still, I'm sure it will be drinkable unless something goes wrong.

I used 500g medium spray malt and 1Kg brewing sugar.

I've read lots of good comments about the Coopers kit here but never tried it before.

1kg of dark spraymalt would be great, ive heard of some adding treacle or brown sugar, any would be good but id go with the dark spraymalt
