I have to agree Snail, it was a great drink, along with the cider and lager.
When I first moved to Cornwall from Lincolnshire twenty years ago the smell was amazing. I might be mistaken, but I thought I was told that the lager was brewed somewhere near Gloucester.
I drove past the old brewery only today. It was bought by the Chinese years ago. They promised to regenerate the brewery and the area around it, but guess what, nothing has happened with it in years. Its now just a shell after being set alight so many times.
If I get the chance, I will pop into the Cornish Studies Library in 'Druth' and see what I can dig up. In fact, after thinking about it, I will do it tomorrow as SWMBO works right next door to it in a cafe and she will need dropping off in the morning.
