Afternoon all, I’m a total newby and I’ve just started my first kit, a Woodfordes Wherry. In my haste to move it from first to second I didn’t add sugar/water to my mix as instructed on the Woodfordes instructions.

I could blame home schooling, nagging wife, planetary alignment etc etc but....... entirely a simple lack of attention to detail on my behalf!!

Have I screwed up my first 40pints?! 🤞🏻

Apologies, I should’ve said primary to secondary I think. The instructions suggest 10days primary then adding sugar water mix and into pressure barrel/bottles for another couple of days warm then 14 days somewhere cool to clear.

Just make up the sugar priming solution now and pour it into the barrel, or if it's bottles you could dose them with sugar individually with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.

Will that still work now that I’ve moved it to the cooler place? It was barrelled 7days ago.

It'll be fine. You've done nothing wrong. The priming sugar shouldn't be added until you're ready to bottle the beer, anyway. The advice, above, is what you need to follow now.

Thanks all for your advice. Next time I’ll pay attention. Appreciated.
