Hey guys complete newbie to brewing but not quaffing ciders, real ales and wine. I'm after some simple advice on my current WOW variant wine that i have started last Sunday (so on Day 4 now).
My current setup is as follows:-

1 gallon demijohn containing:-

1 litre of RGJ
2 litres of pomegranate juice (concentrate)
800g of sugar
2 tsp of wine yeast
1 tsp of yeast nutrient
1 tsp of pectolase
1 mug of strong black tea.

My question is:- I have noticed that some recipes contain citric acid and also glycerine and you will notice i have not added these yet.
Are they needed and if so can i add during racking into the new demijohn?

Many thanks in advance, Justin

acid can be added if your fruits are low on it. orange contains loads, red grape and pomegranate not so much, so add some if you want. glycerin will give a smooth moutheel, it can be added if you wish, generally its an improvement :)

Thanks for the replies.
Will it be ok to add both citric and glycerine during racking into the new DJ?

I went with RGJ because the pomegranate juice is red. Probably taste rancid but i'll let you know in a couple of weeks.

i've done that exact brew thinking about it but 1L RGJ/1L pom and a little raspberry vodka for essence, it was wonderful.

I did a 2 litre cranberry and 1 litre RGJ WOW variant and that is my second favourite so far.
