This may sound like a stupid question but my Wherry is stuck on 1002 in the FV and all the bubbles have stopped. Been in the FV for 8 days in the kitchen of my flat which is constantly warm. The instructions say to let it get down to 1014. I tasted from the tester cup last night and I gotta say it was lovely :drink: . Will 1002 mean there is hardly any alcohol though? Whe the istructions say the reading from the Hydrometer should go down from 1002 to 1014 should they not say up :hmm: I am confussed, please help

If it's down to 1002 then it went past 1014!!!! so theres more alcohol. Very odd that it's gone down that low. double check your reading the hydrometer correctly!!!

Are you sure it's 1002 and not 1020? It could well be 1002, in which case it's finished and ready for kegging, but if it's 1020 then it still has a little way to go.

Thanks for the advice guys, could be that Im reading it wrong. I will let you know.
