Hi there, I am Tara and I'm based in Leeds. :thumb:

I'm really new to brewing, I have done two kits so far but I'm ambitious and looking forward to make some brews from scratch.

Looking forward to exploring the forum and speaking with some of you guys.

Thanks guys.

I made a cider and a lager one, both Young's kits which I just ordered online. They both turned out ok, they were clear and fizzy but I didn't really rate them much.

I want to make some ales and ciders from scratch really and have been doing a bit of background reading but still a bit unsure where to start so I thought I would join up. :)

Forum member MarkP is from near Leeds, im sure that if you ask he will give you an invite to his next AG brew day.

Welcome to the forum.

Plenty of good info here, you might want to look at Turbo Cider while you get the equipment together for gathering, chopping and pressing all those apples.

Welcome to the forum.

As corby_brewer quite rightly said, you would be more than welcome to pop over and see/help on a brew day sometime :thumb:

Thanks for the invite :thumb: it would be good to bob over and get some advice, you will have to keep me posted.

Thanks for the welcomes :D

Hi tara and welcome I am a newbie to the site and a novice to brewing. I've also done a youngs lager kit before and found they get a bit better with age but waiting a year can be a pain..lol im also from your neck of the woods and we yorkshire folk know what ale should taste like..... hope your brews improve in the future and i hope mine do too...lol

Welcome to the Forum from another one originally from Leeds.

There are a few quick recipes (ready in 1-3 months) you could have a go at while making brews that take longer mature.
