Can I just say that I am about to start brewing the with the same kit you have! I too am nervous about starting to brew at home. This thread has eased my nerves somewhat and cannot wait to get things going this weekend. Hope yours turns out well.

Good Luck CLW!!

A couple of points of advice from me after my first brew. Make sure you boil 3/4L of water to add first to the FV to mix the dry fermentables with. Its makes it easier/quicker to dissolve. Also rinse out the can with boiling water to get all of the syrup.

When you sprinkle the yeast on the top of the brew give it a good stir!

Remember to take an OG reading after everything is done. After the chaos of your first brew, some forget.

Ive had a gravity reading of 1013 for the last few days (currently on day 11 in the FV), still plan to leave it a full two weeks, but is this likely to come down to 1010? Or is that unlikely after 11 days?

Is bottling at 1013 ok?? Or will it be better to leave it longer to get to 1010?

Bottled yesterday! FG was 1011 after 15 days in the FV. Added 2 carb drops per 500ml bottle. I added a hop tea (Saaz) on day 11 and it tasted decent on a little sample I took while bottling! So I have 48 bottles boxed on the spare room at around 23/24c (current heating setting) and will leave for two weeks before sticking them in the garage for a further week to cold condition.
