Hi

yet more questions from me,sorry.

i have got my irish stout in my barrel, been in there far a week so far, thought i would pour half a glass to see whats what,i seem to have no pressure what so ever and a few bubbles on top of the brew.Is this normal for a stout?barrel has been in our spare room for the full week and ts nice and warm in there.I added 2oz of sugar to prime when i syphoned from my fermentation vessal. Thanks

Hi

Yes i greased the seal,I was told 2oz.nuts,Could i add more sugar at this stage??

Thanks again

Yes i used vasaline on the screwtop sea and threads, not done owt with the tap though,so as its a new barrel should i have lubed the tap seals as well??thanks

I lube every hole :D  , this gives the CO2 less chance to escape.

If it is a top tap, then this may be your problem, but if it is a bottom tap, then you would have noticed some level of leakage (had this happen with a keg on top of my fridge, and made a right state!)
