Bacteria is bacteria. Once it's been isolated and cultured it doesn't matter if it's come from a super model's vag, my nut sack or a packet from White Labs, it's just bacteria and will sour your beer in pretty much the same way.

I thought everyone did this? I'm sure I saw a Brulosophy article that said it improved attenuation and increased ester production.

Doesn't seem any worse than Brewdog, nor a certain supermarket's claims of a hangover free prosecco.
