Hi all

I'm new here i am Jamie from Huntingdon and i have just brewed my first youngs homebrew lager kit. Which i have to say taste really nice for my first attempt.
Please see pic of my first ever homebrew pint.


I guess i will be starting another brew real soon, so have any of you got any ideas on which lager kit to buy next

Welcome and thanks for sharing the pic, looks a great pint!

I haven't brewed kit lagers but loads of folk on here have, someone will be answer in a min, or post the question in the beer brewing discussion section.

Try the "Hambleton bard lager supreme" many small run homebrew shops sell the kit cheap.

Its a dry kit, feels a bit more up close with the brewing when you do a dry kit. Dont know why but im starting to prefer them.

You can also turn it into a hoppy ale (1 of them light yellow/green summer tasting ales) by boiling hops in a pan, filtering and adding the liquid to the mix. Think I picked up a few bard kits cheap in cardiff for just £7.99 each.


That looks good for a youngs kit... obviously a bit too much head (but maybe because glass wasnt tilted when pouring, if not try tilting the glass and pour where your thumb is), but youngs kits tend to be the cheapest (£8.07 if im not mistaken at wilkos)
