Hi there
I am new to the forum and have a desire to eventually run a micro brewery. I know this is a big goal with a lot to learn. I have done a few kits before but never a brew from scratch.

I would like to start the process by getting experience by home brewing and was wondering the best route to getting set up in the most cost effective way possible. I have watched tons of you tube vids of various peoples set ups and they tend to all be a bit different.

I am interested in meeting up with anyone in the West Yorkshire region who would be able to show me the ropes etc.

Anyway I look forward to your comments

Thanks Adam

Good to see ambition. I taught a guy how to brew last year and six months later he started a brewery so your goal is definitely achievable. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum

Have a read through the How-To section for some good ideas on building equipment :thumb:

Nothing wrong with goals and ambition!

Read lots, brew lots, ask what you might think are stupid questions (they never are) and just start enjoying great beer.

I would say build your own nano-brewery, that is going to give you a handle on the mechanics and physics of the thing.

Most importantly have fun while you learn, then you'll have learned to have fun even when trying to make a living at it.

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome, its much appreciated,

Can i ask if brewpaks are a good supplier? They are local to me so it would make sense for me to use them.

Can you recommend a good recipe for a first brew ? i like amber beer and pale ales as well as chocolate stout - any suggestions along these lines?

Thanks again - Adam :drink:
