New spundy valve

Hi, has anyone had trouble seating their new spundy valve? I've got 2 and I have tried then on numerous kegs and they won't lock on.

Yes. I ended up removing about 0.5mm from the pin inside the moulding.

It works ok on the plastic posts but not on the metal. I emailed the manufacturer to tell them of the problem.

FFS, how hard can it be to manufacture a standard gas disconnect? Is this the same product/manufacturer? Perhaps just a bad batch.

Just bought one these . They are from the same people as the apollo but you are right it moves around to much on my apollo can push up and down on the post . and leaks two .

Hang on, we've been told elsewhere on this forum that KK stuff is perfect.

Just stumbled across this, I had two of these "Spundy" valves earlier this year as well. They kept popping off on my corny kegs posts. I got them from Brewdaysupplies and they were very good about it and refunded me. They said I wasn't the first person to have issues and said they were going to stop stocking them as a result.

Shame, the price and form factor was good but they were effectively useless, wouldn't recommend them at all.
