Funny that people in sometimes very distant places invent same name for this thing. Here in Polish countryside it's called "moonshine liqueur".

Moonshine is a generic term which is used worldwide.

Most countries have their own national spirits and their own names for illicit spirits, Poland appear to have quite a few. I happen to quite like slivovitz, but have only ever tried the legally produced and exported variety.

There was an episode where the main guy went to a legitimate distiller and talked to him about going legal. They legit guy showed him the filtering and cleaning process and the guy muttered something about "We don't do anything like that."

One of my prized possessions is a bottle of home-made distilled palm wine that I picked up in Togo. After the guy funneled it into an old bottle, he threw a few sticks in and told me that it was medicine. Stuff smells like gasoline.

Ive got this series set to record. Brilliant program. the guy called popcorn is actually dead i believe. There are shirts on ebay that say he is in a better place. All i can say is watch it. :thumb:

Just remember the main characters and what they get up to is just for TV. There's a classic scene where a crated chiller 'falls' off the back of the pickup, but you can clearly see the foot that pushes it out...

What ya mean it aint made that way. I know were not aloud to talk about what they do. But did look like they were distilling to me. They cut parts of the process out so other people would not go and try to do it.

Well can't say I done research on it. I just thought they cut out a load of stuff so they don't show too much if ya see what I mean lol.
