Anyone noticed the sudden influx of new members?

i wonder how the brewing program on C4 on Tuesday will affect it too :thumb:

We have a healthy growth rate, I think that there are a number of factors for this :thumb:

Yep, NM may well join up if he gets stuck

I think its a combination of factors - the old credit crunch will drive folks back to homebrew. I hear the homebrew shop in Edinburgh is having a good time at the moment with the sale of beer and wine kits.

More home brewers = BIGGER prices :( almost 60 euro for a sack of MO over here now

nah... if malt gets too high, homebrewing just wont be worth it so they'll need to find a balance

Maybe i'll start growing my own grain, at least then i'd have an excuse for not cutting the garden

I've heard rumours that we've simply mailed all the members at Jims, there's even a list of the members we've 'stolen' apparently.

I reckon it's because people have realised i'm on here and they are queueing up to join...

If we'd done that, everyone would have everyone else's email address by now eh Wez ;)

Its simple good news spreads fast and the snowball effect will speed up the rate of new members. I think the reason why this is a popular forum is that there is a healthy level of friendly pisstaking goes on and a readiness to help.
