Hi there,
As an early xmas present from the wife I fancied a go at homebrew. I got a few bits and pieces from Wilko and thought I'd see how it went.
I bought an EDME German style lager kit, which I added 1kg of granulated sugar too, I accidentally added a little bit too much water but I am hoping it will be okay.
So far I have, one fermenting bin, one pressure keg, another screw top fermenting bin with a little bottler tap on it as well as the supporting bits and pieces.
After 8 days in the original FV I lost my nerve and transferred it to my new one so I could attach the little bottler ready to batch prime, I added some golden syrup to add some flavour and counteract the excessive water I added, hoping it will work!
I plan on giving it until Saturday to ferment completely and then I will batch prime it with 90g of sugar and bottle some and keg the rest.
I have been reading up on here quite a bit and hope that plan makes some sense.
My next brew will be a Cerveza.
Cheers, Mark.
