Festival Woodland Citra Session IPA

Now, I'm excited about this one, because it's a tribute to one of my favourite beers - Oakham Citra. If Festival have managed to capture the essence of that beer, then I'm in for a treat. The Partridge Brothers will be reviewing it in a couple of weeks time, so I'll wait for that review before I buy it.

See: Golden with a white head.
Aroma: A Juicy, tropical notes of Citra hops offering hints of sun-ripened mango and pineapple.
Taste: Bursting with citrus fruit flavour layered over a biscuit malt base with a moorish crisp finish.
Approx. ABV: 4.6%
Bitterness: 32-45IBU (4/5)
Hops included: Citra – 70 g
Makes: 20 L
Malt Extract Pouch: 2.6Kg
Brewing Sugar Included: 350g
Priming sugar included: Dextrose 100 g
Dried Yeast: 10g
Expected Gravity Readings: OG 1.045, FG 1.012

Thank you for the heads up. I will be interested in this one myself. Not been here in a long time and not made up a kit in ages. I have a Wit Beer kit I need to get on for Christmas. I went on a health kick last year and needed to shed a couple of stone in weight. So unfortunately my beer consumption needed to take a serious hit too, but it worked and happy to report I am fit and healthy and sitting in a healthy BMI zone. Time to enjoy a glass or two at the weekends again. Looking forward to the Partridge Brothers review.

If it is anything like Razorback IPA it will be fantastic. I've brewed a few Kits from Festival and they were all great. Razorback IPA i have done a few times and it was fantastic every time, and in my top 3.

I haven’t made a kit for several years now but when I did I chucked away the kit yeast and used the appropriate yeast for the style. For an IPA I would US05.

Mines been on the go for 1.5 weeks, I've added the dry hops today and a quick little sample while I took hydrometer reading. Tasted pretty good so far - let hope the hope don't turn it into a 0/10.

Just watched the Partridge Bros review. I cannot believe that a company with the reputation that Festival has for making kits, would get it so badly wrong. At the moment, my money is on an infection or something, but let's wait and see what others on here get. Festival can't have got it that wrong, surely?
