Hi all.

I thought I'd pop in and say Hi and to thank the admin on here for sorting out my problem of registering on here :drink:

Hi Mac,

Up near Eastleigh. Fareham is my stop of point for supplies - 4u2brew in the high street. If anyone knows anywhere as good/comprehensive but a little closer I'd be happy for the heads up.

Hi and Welcome

I'm in Reading which is further away, but some good home brew shops here!

Which shops are in Reading? I pass there on the M4 with annoying regularity - it'd be nice to have somewhere to stop and break up the journey.

Good lord some of their prices are high! £7.50 for 113g of hops seems to be the going rate. Try http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/ - most of their standard hops are £3.50 for 100g. Some of the more exotic ones (i.e. Sorachi Ace) are higher but for standard bread and butter hops you'll save a packet.

Hi chaps. Also a homebrewer from Winchester, Hants. I have used 4u2brew before and agree with the prices a little. Nice and knowledgeable old boy runs it though so I always solicit his advice. Pros and cons.

The home brew shop in Aldershot is cracking if you can get to it; much more varied kits and extras. I also find The Range in Aldershot good for little extras/starter bottles (and cheap!)

OT: Great little beer shop (not homebrew) in Portswood called Bitter Virtue that I think you'd enjoy!:drink:

I didn't realise or know the Hop Inn did home brew stuff as I pass that way quite often.

I'm near Hook.

I took a trip down to Aldershot today for a few bits and pieces. Also popped into Wilkos in Basingstoke as there doing 25% off at the moment.

Ah, youd be a scummer then :P, i dont buy any of my raw mats from 4u2brew, as they are pricey, equipment isnt bad price though, for hops and grain i use maltmiller, very good quality and a good price as well
