Placed an order with Rob today. The last few orders I've made a point of trying a new hop. This time I've pushed the boat out an ordered 2 new ones so interested to hear other peoples opinions, good or bad, on Delta and Willamette.

I finish my current house ale with williamette and styrian golding. I use fuggle for the battering.

Love the taste williamette brings.

First post using this taptalk and spell correct wins.
Still could be worse, I noticed the other 6 words it changed, didn't like fuggle and kept changing to juggle.

I thought it was a Scottish thing, as in deep fried mars bars, they might be deep frying hops north of the border.

I have used willamette cascade and chinnock in a pale ale all very grapefruity citrusy I would say. I dry hopped it with a whole pile of the stuff :thumb: :thumb:

I will probably do them as single hop brews although they are both fairly low alphas compared to the last few I've tried.

Hi Dennis

Don't think of Willamette in the same way as the Yankie C hops cos it ain't! Don't get me wrong it's a great hop in the right place but more Fuggle on steroids than in your face fruit.

I have found Galaxy to be delicious, just did a single hop with it. Think I have a "bin end" I will pop it in your order

Cheers

Rob

Cheers Rob, true gent. Looking forward to the new hops, I'm drinking Galaxy pint at the moment, great hop.

Been reading in few places about Delta, they seem to be commonly described as an English American hybrid, interesting.
