How I miss the music of the modem

I think the tune went "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww eeh aww eeh aww eeh aww" then a 2 second silence. Great days.

I may be the only one that had the problem, but I've posted a lot fewer posts than I would have liked because the old format was really slow for me. The new one is much faster.

Wrote a long message to someone. Hit send and the forum suddenly changed to the new layout and no sign of my message.

Major bummer!
When I logged on nothing would work - I didn't have the authorisation to post, send messages or even contact the forum admin. This lasted until quite late on Thursday evening when I managed to get a plea for help through.
For long posts I often use Notepad to write them then copy & paste into the forum.

It’s the same software/layout as a football forum I post on, and I prefer the format of that to the old one here.

There are improvements to the mobile site like access to the calculators and actually getting a notification when you’ve been tagged, quoted etc .

Once the bugs have been ironed out it’ll be great!

Once I get my head round it, I reckon it'll be great. Now to spend a bit of time lurking around the various posts to see if my miniscule brain can work out how navigate and post things

A few speed bumps yes it was a little broken this time 24 hours but the Site Admin Angie has done a great job and got things working and I believe will continue to do so.. There are a few benefits and it is a richer build so long term it will be much better for it..

Just noticed on the iPad that the menu bar at the top of the page scrolls left and right. (Doh!)
"New Posts" is on the extreme right of the bar.
