Hi Guys, thought id post my new brewing system for your perusal/ judgement, it has gone through several different phases and set ups but i think unless i add a plate chiller this will be my final layout. Its all in the picture of flows of wort etc

The kit has been bought from a combination of Malt miller and Angelhomebrew, and I thoroughly recommend using both of them.

From Start to finish:

The Hot liquor tank is a stainless steel vessel which has had my old PECO boiler fittings attached to allow me to set and forget

This plumbs into a Type 2 Pump from angelhomebrew with various valves as you can see on the diagram.

This then plumbs into a port on the mash tun which is connected to blichmann autosparge which is plugged into the mash tun which i highly recommend for making sparge that much easier/make less mess (when you forget about it).

The mash tun then plumbs into the first pump to allow vorlauf and then plumbs into second pump to allow for a continuous sparge.

The kettle has a whirpool fitting which the wort drains into and allows (obviously) for whirpooling at the end of the boil - i use a copper coil for cooling wort down and using the whirpool during this cuts down on cooling time dramatically. The kettle is heated by a propane heater to allow quicker boils.

The kettle can then pump into the fermenter or if i change my mind later it can pump into a plate chiller and then into fermenter.

The Fermenter is a SS brewtech chronical with the ftss heating and cooling setup - the cooling coils are plugged into the cooler next to it which once i can be bothered will fix an old Maxi chiller to provide a continuous supply of cold water instead of topping when ice when required - to be honest i rarely need this unless doing lagers as live in scotland and its never that hot but does make cold crashing harder. The heating aspect of the ftss kit with brew belt style setup under the jacket works a treat even when been -10 degrees in my garage.

And thats it if you have any questions feel free to ask! Will upload more photos when i get my phone working again!
