has anyone seen these?
I can't belive that carling have the cheek to ask for over 1.50 a bottle because it's an aluminium bottle????? wtf.
that aside the bottles do look pretty cool and I would quite fancy a few for my home brew are there any cons using aluminium except the obvious non transparency. ?

budwieser have had these out in america for years dont know about advantages tho maybe they keep colder longer but 1.50 for carling rats p*** NOOOO WAYYYYYYYY

They're also available for Coors light and Caffreys.

Don't under-estimate the cost to produce these. I work for Heineken and we've had them for years. The only difference is that ours have UV paint so they "pop" out in nightclubs, etc. They cost a bloody fortune - and I mean REALLY expensive compared to glass, can, keg, etc.

The main reason for the metal "bottle" is that a law has passed in Glasgow stating that any late licence venue cannot serve glass over the bar. Decanted bottles, plastic pints, etc. Expect that law to spread outwards and therefore alternatives have to be looked at.
