Hi :)

I'm in the process of making my first home brew from a kit I got. It's something I'm really interested in and here seems like the best place to learn a lot more about it. Hopefully if I have any problems I'll be able to get some help here too.

Hi Adam, welcome to the forum
I hope your first kits a big success :thumb:
Another jags fan eh? Whats the chances of that? Both of their supporters on the same brewing forum
Where are you located?

Hello and welcome,

I started my first ever brew last week with my son using a lager kit. It's worked really well so far and is now conditioning for a few weeks. If you're interested, we made a Blog with daily entries of the steps involved and our progress:

This forum has been greatl - the instructions on the tin aren't always that helpful!

I really like what you've done with your blog Jim, hope your beer turns out good man. what kit is it you have brewed?

abeyptfc,

Thanks very much!

Both Lager and Cider kits were by Youngs which I bought from Wilkinsons (of all places!). They are good but the instructions are basic, I found myself on this forum looking for answers to questions regarding cloudiness and for explanations about why you do certain things.

As this was a joint venture with my son, who is only 12, we started off with kits. Our aim now is to progress beyond these and also to do some wine!
