New Brewer

Hi All,

I am looking to start brewing beer and have joined the forum to hopefully get some good advice from all you guys.

I was wondering if you could let me know what are the best starter packs to get, which ones are the best value for money and have everything you need to start brewing. Also is there any other equipment I need.

ALDI HERE were doing a sell off the other day on starter kits. At £29.99 they are good value and buying two of them is useful for the FV's.

Hello and welcome.

I have a Coopers starter kit which comes with pretty much everything you need to get up and running including reusable PET bottles. I opted for this one as some of the others come with barrels and I really wanted bottles.

Think I have made a decision on which starter pack to get.

Thinking of starting with some St Peters. Would people recommend using bottles or a barrel?

It is a personal choice really, barrels less cleaning and messing about. Bottles easier to take somewhere or move but time consuming to clean and sanitise them all :thumb:
