Recently decided to go with gas for my boiler as I have converted my garage to a lounge and now have to brew outside.
A Foker Square 8.8kw ring and Nordic 70 Pot was purchased and a test run done today.
It was a rather windy day today and so needed to try and keep the heat under the boiler rather than being blown away. Like watching £££s go up in smoke!. After a bit of head scratching, a sheet of tin foil came to the rescue and worked perfectly. Flame stayed under boiler and it brought around 40l of water to a boil in about 45 minutes.
