Nettle Beer, funny colour

HI there,

I followed the guide on the river cottage homepage to brew some nettle beer

I left it to ferment for 4 days then drained it and bottled it but this is the colour.

Is it just me or does it not seem right?


Looking some info if its safe to drink in about a weeks time :lol:

It smells like beer, and it actually tastes ok (i took a spoonful just to test)

No that blue stuff looks well weird! What colour were the nettles used to brew that?

If it tastes OK, then it is fine to drink. There's nothing in there thats going to kill you (he says hopefully)

I did a Nettle Beer a little while ago it went some stange colours

Its been bottled 3 weeks now and has droped clear in the bottle. Not tested it for taste yet.
