Newbie here. From Somerset.
My bro has been brewing for a yr and thought I need a hobbie so here I am.
Never done it before only help mix one with my bro.
Gonna buy the new coopers kit with a larger starter pack .

I want to give wine ago. Chardonnay as my gf loves the stuff .

Is the new copers kit a good starter or any recommendations . What kits taste best

To start with I'd give the lager a miss as a first brew and go for an IPA or similar, lagers IMHO either taste ok or your disappointed with them.
IPA's or stouts give you more latitude. But of course it depends on your own tastes.

Welcome to the forum, have a browse through the kit recipe section from the board index, lots have been made by members

Your best bet is to visit the bottled beer section of somewhere like Morrisons, they have a good selection of bottled beers and you could pick up 4-6 different styles to try and see what you like.

Well the larger come with the starter kit will can make that anyway. Am wanting to try a cider . Are they any good at doing.

Gonna do some wine for the mrs too
