Hi guys, I’ve got a MYO ipa on the go, it’s abouts 9 days in and i added the hops (pellet) form a day ago, the instructions say bottle at 10 days or when fermentation finished, my concer is the hops have created a thick 1/2” crust over the top, do I try and scoop this off before bottling or just accept I’m going to get the last few bottles very mucky? 00B667BC-3500-4870-8385-CC79BF3915F2.jpeg

What are your hydrometer readings.? I would take readings over the next 3 days.
I often find that the beer starts to re-ferment a bit when you add the hops -looks to me like it hasn’t finished I This is called hop creep. In my experience hops generally start to drop out when it has I personally would leave it at least another 3 or 4 days to see if the hops drop out and use a hop spider or net bag next time.

All my hops dropped to the bottom after 4 days admittedly I encouraged them by tapping the sides of the FV a few times during the last couple of days
