I know that some hospitals have and do come in for some bad reviews, which obviously make news headlines.
I have had the missfurtune to have spent the last eight days in Kingston(Surrey) hospital having had a kidney stent and Stoma(bag) operation due to cancer having been found.
What a fantastic crew, from the people in the operating theatre and recovery through to the ward staff. Nothing too much trouble, even despite me needing help through the nights. Support has been so good as well with specialist stoma nurses at hand in hospital and now at home. The damning thing is that most of the staff were eastern european and in the case of actual nursing staff from The Phillipines.Would think without them the hospital would colapse. There doesn't seem to be anything to attract our own people into the NHS,save for one or two training nurses who were on the ward.
Well done Kingston hospital however.
