Hi all!

So I brewed my first kit - St Peters IPA, left it in the FV for 6 weeks before transferring to a second bucket for batch priming and bottling. When I was syphoning it across I had a taste and it is superb! :D :D :D Without a doubt I would have had a lot more trouble with it without this forum - the help was absolutely invaluable and I am a grateful to all who answered my silly questions!

Already planning my next one - does anyone know if it is OK to double up on 9L kits? I have a 25L FV and want to make a Belgian one next but the Brewferm ones I am looking at seem to only come in single can kits.

Cheers!

Danny

Hey,

I am a walking brew disaster but this forum steers me on the right path again and again. I agree, a great forum and allot of good users.

Yes mate, you can brew bigger, just like baking - multiply or divide your amounts.

Woohoo

6 weeks in primary? That's a lot, but glad it's good.

...and yes, I've doubled up a Brewferm 9L Abdij no problem. Use both yeast sachets, of course. You'll need a fair bit of head space though - hopefully 23L may enough to take the krausen. Keep them at the cooler end of Brewferm's suggested range, in my experience. (Best was the Kriek at 21C)

If you'd done two weeks in primary you could be drinking it now!
