Apart from having to work and cook for all and sundry on xmas and boxing day it's not been all bad really.
The wifey is buying me the 2nd installment for my brewery-the mash tun to go with my amazingly beautiful kettle. A good South African friend gave me a nice collection of beer glasses including a 1994 Catford Beer Festival pint glass. My fishing buddy bought me over a few kg's of fresh snapper fillets that him and his son caught. I got a wild pork ham that was home smoked and is really similar to a nice italian cured ham but with more flavour.
And we are 400% up on last year with our business.
I also managed to squeeze in a quick brew with my new kettle. Which was great and i wonder how i ever brewed with plastic buckets and kettle elements now. Gas is way easier/better/more controllable.
Roll on 2009 and all the brewing it's bound to bring.
