can any1 tell me why my youngs brew hasnt worked its been in the bottles for 3 weeks now in my shed but the yeast is still clinging to side of bottle so i give it a quick swirl the other day and still the same.
also the yeast in the bottom isnt very compact and moves easily even with the slightest movement. :wha:

This sounds familiar to one brew i hadm, it looked like it had gone of in the bottle, however, after moving all my beer back into the house, since it was cold in the shed, it all cleared up, and has now been drunk!

After priming the bottles, did you leave the bottles in a warm place for about 5 days to get the secondary fermentation going??
hope this helps!

ye i did put it in a warm place. i dont think its gone off cuz it still tastes ok just can taste the yeast int it as its mixing in with it being on the side of bottle, but its only fine

i've found my bottle sediments stick to the bottom of the bottle better the longer their left undisturbed.

when my Winter Sunrise hit 8 weeks in the bottle in my cold garage it was almost at the point where it stayed put even if i rushed it... now a few weeks beyond that (they were bottled in January) i can pour them almost all the way without loosening the sediment.

I used S04 yeast and no finings for the record

give them time :thumb:

any more advice on whats gone wrong would be great as i dont no weather to keep or throw the brew my last youngs brew was done in 2 weeks just no luck with this 1

A question? :?: not quite sure what your problem is :wha: but did you use finings before bottling? :?: this can cause the yeast to become a bit fluffy & not pack down, which is very often disturbed when pouring :nono: Just a thought :wha: :wha:
