Thanks Guys,
Yeah the kit is hard to source here - taps and plastic stuff no probs.
Boiler i got here i have 2 including a 20 ltr one i use for the wine brewing.
Double insulated mash tun as its an old one and very thin walled done in polystirene i think so built a box round it and now going to fill with expanding foam - now i know its water tight.
Barrels etc no probs dirt cheap here and the fermenters i will be getting are just like some i saw online in HB shops but again far cheaper here.
10mm copper pipe next month to make the cooler coil with i can get that here but a little expensive but hey ho!
Still not got any barley to roast yet either - i got 2 turks looking for it for me. i got the rest - hops/yeast etc
Just put on a sour cherry cider to test out my aquarium heater at 22c - bubbling away nicely :thumb:

Well done...It's great to see how we all put together our AG setups, in theory they all work to the same ends..
Here to your first brew..

Forgot to add these earlier - stirplates - using old HDD enclosures, HDD magnets, Home made stirbars and salvaged speed controlers from an old monitor (colour and phase adjusts)

As you can see - not much snow on the mountains - but check out the Orange and Lemon trees in near forground (bottom right)!!!!

Looking good in all aspects Scream :thumb:

Why so much insulation on the mash tun are you worried it might get to warm if left in your weather  Jammy Git :D

The cooler box is very thin walled and saw some posts on the topic so thought i would have a go - lol
As you say no probs in summer holding the temp but wouldnt work in winter here my attic workspace is unlined etc so dont think the box would hold the heat very well - not over 90 mins anyway. Plus cant get hold of the insulating stuff or hot tank jackets here - they dont have em, and cant be chewed with quilts or sleeping bags etc.
My water is from solar panels just behind my BBQ - 150ltr tank and 3 panels.

:D great build, I also brew outside - normally with a big coat on and a brolly on standby to put over the boiler  What a fantastic view, brew with a view
