Hi just started this muntons kit and I want to try dry hopping for the first time. Can anyone recommend me a suitable hop and what quantities. My plan is to add them when I transfer it to my secondary then leave for a week before bottling. I am trying to make a wheat beer similar to erdinger.

well you could try tettananger maybe around 20g but wheat beers don't want hop aroma or taste really , and you won't get a erdinger from a muntons kit (sorry) i would recommend getting some dried wheat malt extract instead of sugar and also get some safbrew wb06 dried yeast this will improve the outcome and will give it that banana taste (kit yeast will not ) ferment at 22c .

I knew you would know pittsy! I did kit with muntons beer enhancer. I might try the hops but may well leave it now! The brupaks west riding is a good clone of erdinger.

Yeah perhaps the wrong beer to try dry hopping with.. I put some late addition hops in one of my hefeweizens and, while drinkable, I found it very weird having a hoppy wheat. Wasn't keen - but some of my friends (who are less stuck in their wheat-beer ways as I am) really liked it.
