I've just purchased this kit as my final brew for a few months ( lots of stock and little storage space left )
Well that's the plan.....

The description of the kit appealed to me and its a little different to the brews I have in stock at the moment. Anyone brewed it before ?
This brew is going to be completely by the book with particular attention being paid to the length of times left in Fv's and then into a 2nd Fv to see how clear I can get it before bottling. With the stock I have there is no rush for this brew. I intend to have one bottle made as a control bottle and will be bottling that in a clear pet bottle ( wrapped up in brown paper tube ) so I can see how the clarity develops as it matures. Aside from the control bottle all being well I will try and refrain from opening any other till the end of September ( big party night ) it will be positively ancient by then !

Throw the book out the window PD!!

I've got one of these conditioning just now, it was by the book save for the racking to secondary and dry-hopping with 40g EKG after 7 days for a further 14 days.

I had a bottle a week or so ago after only two weeks in the bottle and it is beautiful. I had to bury the crates at the bottom of the pile otherwise it was going to get guzzled way before its time!!!

I am contitioning my second one of these, the first was brewed as instructions and kegged. This one turned out superb.I Kegged and bottled the second one but primed with 100g of light dme.Got to leave it alone for a couple more weeks then give it a try.I will drink the keg first and hide the bottles away.It must be good this is the first time i have done a kit for a second time.

Brewing : nowt
Planning : Fiery ginger beer
Conditioning : Midas touch, BB IPA, Nelsons Revenge.
Drinking : St Peter's IPA, BB Czech pilsner, BB Stout & Fiery ginger beer.

yummy..... I'm not an overly hoppy drinker so I don't think I will dry hop on this occasion.

Just been watching the cycling from the Olympics and am now starting this one off. Yeast already mixed up in a jug and everything else soaking in VWP.
I find it quite exciting starting a brew off..... :)

That's why I went with the EKG. Nice and subtle but just enough sort of floweriness to lift the brew a bit, take it away from normal kitness...

EKG is no chinook!!! :)

Made this a few weeks ago and its a very tasty brew...have a couple of bottles left and have been saving them for this weekend! I think I may have over-carbonated it a bit though as its very bubbly, looking at my notes for some reason i primed with 200g of glucose! Wow! Must have been one of my off days as thats way too much!!

This also had one of the most lively ferments I have seen, if I remember correctly I shoved the two cans into a big pot and boiled it all up with water and added 500g of light spray malt as well, I had an OG of 1051 and ended at 1010. Have a look at THIS post

Strange I made it as per kit with no extra spray malts or sugars and my OG was 1.052. Also Munton's instructions explicitly say do not at any stage boil the contents of the cans ???

edit..... after going out to the garage to check brew !

Anyone for ice cream ! what a lovely thick white foamy head this morning....er the brew not me.
temperature a little high at 23 degrees after a warm night.
