morrisons offer? Is it any good?

Hi

My mate and I have currently set our first brew kit away this weekend. Can't wait for it to finish so we can bottle it. We were discussing today what we should do for or next kit. Morrisons have 3 for 2 on all Geordie kits at the moment at £5.86 each making it 120 pints for less than £12.00. That seems too good to miss so we plan to get 2 bitter kits and 1 lager kit. Questions we have are:-

1. Are they any good?

2. What can we do to improve them, We will try a kit enhancer as we have done with our current kit but can we add extra hops etc?

3. If so what and how much do we use and how do we prepare it?

Hi There,

Just suppin a geordie bitter now thought i had finished it all but found a 2 lt bottle in the shed thankfully, It was a Geordie kit done as it says in the tin but i added the beer enhanser kit instead of sugar.

I have heard that you can dry hop if you have a keg, add hops in a muslin bag and weight down with something that you have sterilised. keeps hops in for 3 days and remove but be careful when opening barrel to remove hops as there will be gas in barrel and open very slowly of the cap will hit you in the face ok.

Gordies kits are fine, I've done a few of the yorkshire bitters added extra fuggles to one and did one as it said on the tin, for the lager kit you could try this I used a youngs lager, but a gordies would work just aswell!

Not sure if the Morrisons offer as finished now though!

Im drinking a Geordie kit now, it the Scottish Export i added a few things to it. But its one of the best budget kits ive drunk.
As for the morrisons deal my local morrisons are still doing it. I think that its one of those when they have so and when its gone its gone. So if i was you i would stock up whilest you can.
