I have been recommended this site by another brewer yesterday after collecting surplus bottles they were getting rid of so here I am. I started home brewing nearly two years ago and have made some really nice wine from packs however I really want to be a little more adventurous. I have not had much luck with lagers or kitted ciders but wines I have been successfull in even from fresh fruit. I have mainly used Young kits.

I have done plum wine and rowanberry from fresh fruits and I am unsure what others would be best to try next. Any suggestions? I have bought a lot of carrots for carrot wine / whiskey from cash and carry so I am hoping to give that a go plus have bought gooseberry, jostanbrry and yellow berry plants in order to use those fruits also have seeded ruhbard this year to.

Does anyone recommened any other brands other than youngs for wine? Is buying fruit juice from supermarkets better than fresh fruits?

Any lagers that can be recommened? Is dry packs better or not?
